Course Content

MODULE 1

Know Your Spine

Learn how your spine is built, how its different areas work together, and why movement matters for healthy posture. You’ll explore your natural spinal curves, stability and mobility, and how everyday habits can affect the way you move. Through simple movements, you’ll begin to notice your own posture and move with more awareness.

MODULE 2

Thoracic Mobility

Learn why your upper back plays such an important role in posture and movement. You’ll explore how to improve thoracic mobility, release areas of stiffness and tension, and help your upper back move more freely. Through simple, targeted movements, you’ll build better awareness and support healthier movement throughout your spine and shoulders.

MODULE 3

Build Your Strong Spine

Learn how to build strength and support around your spine so you can move with more confidence in everyday life. You’ll work on the muscles that support your spine, improve control and stability, and discover how strength can help you feel more capable and comfortable in your body.

MODULE 4

Build Your Strong Core

Learn how your core supports your spine and helps you move with greater control and stability. You’ll strengthen the muscles around your trunk, improve core coordination, and explore how your breath and movement work together to create support without unnecessary tension.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this course suitable for beginners?
Yes. The course is designed for all levels, including complete beginners. You’ll be guided through each movement and given options to make exercises easier or more challenging.
How much time do I need?
You don’t need hours of exercise. The course is designed to fit into real life, with practices you can complete in a relatively short amount of time. You can also revisit individual movements when you have just a few minutes.
Do I need any yoga experience?
No. You don’t need to be flexible or have previous yoga experience. The focus is on understanding your body, building strength, improving mobility, and moving with more awareness.
What equipment do I need?
You don't need much. A yoga mat is useful, and some exercises may use simple props such as blocks. You can also adapt many of the movements using things you already have at home.
Can I do this course if I have back, neck or shoulder pain?
The course is designed to help you understand movement and build strength and mobility, but it is not a treatment for a specific medical condition. If you have an injury, significant pain, or a diagnosed condition, check with your healthcare professional before starting. During the practices, never force through pain and always choose an easier option when needed.
Will this course fix my posture?
The goal isn't to “fix” your posture or make you hold one perfect position. Instead, you'll learn how your spine moves, build strength and mobility, and develop more awareness and movement options. The goal is a body that can adapt rather than stay in one position.
What results can I expect?
Everyone is different, but you may notice greater awareness of your posture, improved mobility, more strength and control, and a greater sense of comfort and confidence when moving. Consistency matters more than doing everything perfectly.
Do I have to follow the course in order?
I recommend following the four modules in order because each one builds on what came before. However, you can also revisit classes or movements whenever you feel they would be useful.
What if I can't do one of the exercises?
That's completely okay. You don't need to perform every movement perfectly. You'll be encouraged to make movements smaller, slow them down, use an easier variation, or take a break. The goal is to work with your body, not force it.
Is this a yoga course?
The Posture Perfect Method is not a traditional yoga course. It draws from my work in yoga therapy, functional movement, strength and mobility, combining these with breathwork and anatomy. You’ll use yoga-based movements alongside practical strength and mobility exercises to better understand your body, build support, and move with more awareness. You don't need any previous yoga experience to take the course.
Do I need to sit or stand up straight all day?
No. Your body is designed to move and change position. There is no single perfect posture you need to maintain all day. This course helps you develop more movement options, strength and awareness so you can adapt to different positions instead of constantly trying to hold yourself “correctly.”
